PROJECT PRESENTATIONSPAIN IN BLOOM

Successful participation in the Apple Blossom Festival in the Cider Region, with waiting lists for planned agrotourism activities.

The Association of this region of Asturias highlights the interest generated among tourists in the flowering season and the impact of the Week scheduled for this edition, with high occupancy rates in restaurants and accommodations.

From May 1st to 4th, the Cider Region experienced an unforgettable edition of its Apple Blossom Week, a celebration that has turned the "Floriar del Pumar" into a true tourist and cultural attraction of the Asturian spring. This event was supported by Spain in Blossom, a member of the country's Blossom Destinations Club.

For four days, residents and visitors enjoyed a full program of activities designed to celebrate the arrival of the apple blossoms in a beautiful natural and heritage setting. Guided walks among apple orchards in bloom, visits to traditional cider mills and the Cider Museum, photography workshops, culinary experiences, and live outdoor music filled the region with life, aromas, and sounds.

In addition, local establishments offered special menus based on apples and cider, which were very well received by the public, with several restaurants selling out.

There was also no shortage of rural getaways in the region's accommodations, which were nearly full during the long weekend, reflecting the growing interest in these types of options that combine nature, gastronomy, and culture.

The organizers praised the week's progress, highlighting "the great public reception, the favorable weather, and the involvement of local businesses, which have all contributed to ensuring this bloom is not only visible, but also experienced."

With an offering that grows year after year, Apple Blossom Week is establishing itself as a must-attend event on the Asturian and national tourism calendar, highlighting the value of the agricultural landscape and cider culture as drivers of local development.
