The Lavand Lavender Bloom Festival Will Fill Moratalla With Cultural, Gastronomic, and Nature Activities This Summer - Bloom Tourism
PROJECT PRESENTATIONSPAIN IN BLOOM

The lavender flowering festival 'Lalavand' will fill Moratalla with cultural, gastronomic and nature activities this summer

The initiative is part of the 'Moratalla, Territorio Lavanda' project and will promote the revitalization of this municipality from June 15 to September 28 and will include the participation of the Tour Colors and Flavors of Spain within the Experience Spain in Bloom project.

The Mayor of Moratalla, Juan Soria, together with the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, Carmen Conesa, and the General Director of ITREM, Juan Francisco Martínez, have presented the Moratalla Lavender Festival LALAVAND 2024.

A Festival framed in the project Moratalla, Lavender Territory, which is being developed by the City Council with the financial support of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

LALAVAND is here to complement everything Moratalla offers us, through knowledge, culture, gastronomy and the vindication of this magical, enriching and sustainable heritage of the tradition of aromatic herbs and their unique landscape.

LALAVAND offers a tourist proposal when the lavender fields become a true spectacle for the senses.

Traditional events, along with concerts, Entrepreneurship Days, Essence Routes, Meetings of Animeros Groups, Benizarte and the 1st Fair of Popular Traditions, Crafts and Natural Products, are some of the components of this tourism project that aims to revitalize the Upper Districts of Moratalla.

Colors and Flavors Tour on August 17

The Moratalla Town Hall with its lavender flowering has joined the agrotourism project Experience Spain in Bloom (www.floracion.es). An initiative that seeks to highlight all the different flowering periods in the country's territories as a tourist attraction under the brand Spain in Bloom.

As part of the actions of this project, on August 17, the El Sabinar district will host the exhibition of the Travelling Interpretation Centre of the Blooms of Spain that is touring different parts of the country, as well as recording the flowering route with a drone and 360 and culminating with a concert by the group 'Indiscretos'. This Colours and Flavours Tour has already covered the Blackthorn Bloom in Navarre, the Apple Blossom in the Cider Region and the Piorno en Flor in the Sierra de Gredos.
