The City Council of Mula has presented the initiative in the city of Murcia this week MulaFlor 2024, the Almond Blossom Festival of Mula. An event that will host numerous activities throughout the month of February and early March.
The mayor of the town, Juan Jesús Moreno, explained that “MulaFlor 2024 is the celebration of life in Mula. A life that beats through its history and its people." And he took the opportunity to highlight the role that the blooms of the Region of Murcia occupy at an international level.
Mula also stands out for being the Spanish municipality with the largest area dedicated to almond cultivation with more than 20,000 hectares of almond trees.
MulaFlor 2024 Programming
MulaFlor 2024, the Almond Blossom Festival of Mula, hosts an extensive programme for all audiences: guided tours and routes around almond groves, gastronomic tastings and samplings, photographic routes, competitions and workshops, meetings of groups in Casas Nuevas and Fuente Librilla, among many other initiatives.
Among the novelties is the 1st edition of the MulaFlor 2024 Awards, where relevant figures from the municipality will be honored in categories such as tourism, agriculture or social action. An event planned as a grand finale to the Mula Almond Festival and which aims to become a annual reference event in the town.
