The Ebro Riverbank in Bloom - Flowering Tourism
PROJECT PRESENTATIONSPAIN IN BLOOM

The Ebro River in bloom

The fruit trees of the Ribera del Ebro are transformed into a sea of colours, starting with the almond trees that are dressed in flowers, followed by the peach trees and finally the plum trees. Every year, this spectacle of nature attracts a growing number of people who wish to delight in this beautiful display that lasts approximately two months. Thanks to its geographical location and its altitude, close to the Mediterranean and just a few metres above sea level, this region has become a suitable place for the cultivation of sweet fruits.

In 2023, the blossoming of almond trees invites you to explore all the municipalities in this area. One of the routes you can take is the Ascó-Vinebre route, which offers two different itineraries: one from Ascó and one from Vinebre. These tours will take you through the fields of almond trees in bloom, where you will have the opportunity to taste wines and receive guidance from an experienced winemaker.

During the trip, you will also be accompanied by a local beekeeper, who will show you the art of honey production, offering tastings and activities related to the Ribera del Ebro. In addition, on Sundays you will have the opportunity to learn about the wines of the area from a winemaker. These activities are scheduled for Saturdays 25 February and 4 March, as well as Sundays 26 February and 5 March.

The suggested routes will also take you to explore other charming towns in the area, such as Benissanet, Flix, Pas de Barca and Ginestar. To organise your visit, you can access the link provided.

Don't miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the splendour of the flowering and discover the rich culture of the Ribera del Ebro.
