- The Navarrese town of Peralta will host the Festival with a complete programme of activities, organised by the IG Pacharán Navarro, between the days March 22 and 23.

18-3-2024.- The town of Peralta will become the capital of Pacharán Navarro between the 22nd and 23rd of March. The Endrino Flowering Festival celebrates a new edition with the aim of highlighting the beauty of its flowering landscapes and the quality of Pacharán Navarro.
It has a programme of activities that combine gastronomy, photography and music. This edition will feature the participation of the Colours and Flavours of Spain Tour, an initiative framed within the agrotourism project 'Experience Spain in Bloom' (www.floracion.es), selected by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism as one of the most innovative experiences in the country with European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Its main objective is to try to promote the country's flowering plants as a tourist attraction and the quality of its agri-food products and the IGP Pacharán Navarro (www.pacharannavarro.org) is attached to the project.
The events will begin on Friday, March 22 at the Casa de Cultura in Peralta. At 5:30 p.m. the presentation of dishes from the 1st Pacharán Navarro Pastry Competition will take place, organized in collaboration with the Women's Association of Piedra Alta. The results of the competition will be announced at 7 p.m.
At 18:30, the inauguration of the Travelling Interpretation Centre of Spain in Bloom will take place, where, with educational material in different formats, the different flowering periods in Spain will be made known, including the flowering of the blackthorn. An initiative that will tour the different territories of the country that promote the flowering of their crops.
The activities of this first day will end at 7:30 p.m. with the celebration of a Participatory Tasting Workshop of Pacharán Navarro. Those interested can register at tourism@aytoperalta.com
Concert and photography contest
On Saturday, March 23, after touring the flowering fields of sloes that will be recorded in 3D and drone for the project 'Experiencia España en Floración', at 11 a.m. the recognition of the new generation of young people who have joined the IG production and processing sector will take place.P Pacharan.
At 12.30 pm it will be the turn of music with the Murcian indie group Lücky Dükes (www.luckyduckes.es), creator of the song 'Floración' which is the soundtrack of the 'Colors and Flavors of Spain' campaign that starts in Peralta. The concert will take place in the Main Square of Peralta where there will also be an exhibition and market of the companies adhering to the IGP Pacharán Navarro ending the day with a Reyno Gourmet Pinchos Tasting by Txomin Parrilla.
In the bars and restaurants of Peralta, the popular cocktail with Navarrese pacharán called butanito can be ordered during the days of the Festival. In addition, among all those who send photographs of the blackthorn blossom or of the activities that take place during the Festival to the website www.floracion.es will be entered into the draw for Spain in Bloom t-shirts and sweatshirts.
The 2024 Blackthorn Festival is organised by the IG Pacharán Navarro in collaboration with the Peralta Town Council, Spain in Bloom, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Reyno Gourmet.
