The district of El Sabinar, in Moratalla (Murcia), will become next Saturday, August 17 in it epicentre of Spain's blooms. The town will host the Colours and flavours of Spain tour with an exhibition, a photography contest and a pop-rock music concert in an initiative framed within the agrotourism project 'Experience Spain in Bloom' (www.floracion.es), selected by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism as one of the most innovative experiences in the country with European funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Its main objective is to try to promote the country's flowering as a tourist attraction and the quality of its agri-food products and has visited different flowering areas in Spain since March when the campaign started: Navarra (blackthorn flowering), Comarca de la Sidra in Asturias (apple flowering) and Sierra de Gredos in Ávila (broom flowering). Traveling Interpretation Center
The day will begin at 11.30 am with the inauguration of the Spanish Flowering Interpretation Centre, which will be displayed outdoors in the presence of the Mayor of Moratalla, Juan Pascual Soria. The Centre has educational material in different formats, which will show the different flowering periods in Spain, including the Moratalla Lavender Flowering. In addition, a video recorded by drone this summer will be shown with images of the Moratalla lavender, which will serve to promote this tourist attraction.
At dusk, from 9pm onwards, it will be the turn of the music group 'Indiscretos' with versions of pop and rock from the eighties and nineties that will liven up those attending the 'Colores y Sabores Tour' activities at a party to enjoy the good temperature of the August nights in Moratalla.
The Agromarketing España team (www.agromarketing.es), which coordinates the Spain in Bloom project, will take advantage of the day to record the activities, as well as conduct interviews with local residents and visitors to the event.
