Cider Region
Throughout the May bank holidays, the Cider Region is dressed in the white and pink petals of the apple blossom, or as it is known in these lands the "Flor del Pumar", and the arrival of spring generates an explosion of colours and fragrances that runs through the cider lands that make up the municipalities of Bimenes, Cabranes, Colunga, Nava, Sariego and Villaviciosa.
To celebrate this natural spectacle, a complete programme is being developed in which visitors are offered different activities related to the world of apples and cider. Particularly noteworthy are the guided tours of orchards (apple plantations) in full bloom.
The Cider Region is a territory made up of six municipalities in central-eastern Asturias. Bimenes, Cabranes, Colunga, Nava, Sariegu and Villaviciosa make up this natural space with a common denominator: cider production.
