Managers of Agromarketing Spain (www.agromarketing.es) visited the Jerte Valley last week with the aim of holding a meeting with institutional leaders and companies from the region's tourism sector to explain the agrotourism project Experience Spain in Bloom (www.floracion.es), selected by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism as one of the most innovative experiences in the country. In addition, the opportunity was taken to present the new mobile APP Spain in Bloom, which will be available in the coming months once the resources from the territories participating in the project are collected.
Among those attending were, among others, representatives of the Society for the Promotion and Development of the Jerte Valley (SOPRODEVAJE) and the Jerte Valley Tourism Association, as well as municipal officials such as the Mayor of Navaconcejo.
Antonio Santos, co-founder of Agromarketing and project manager, and Alejandro Ortega, local development agent for the project, explained that the Spain in Bloom Mobile Application will be a powerful communication tool that will attract potential national and international flowering tourists to keep them up to date with all the information, news and relevant services of the different flowering destinations in Spain throughout the year, during the flowering season but also during other seasons such as fruit picking or autumn. The aim is for tourists to know at every time of year what resources and activities each destination included in the Spain in Bloom Application offers.
The mobile application aims to become a powerful tool for interaction between visitors, local businesses, restaurants, tourist resources and other experiences offered. From the Spain in Bloom App, you can consult all the tourist resources in the different areas: Viewpoints, natural sites, monuments, museums, picturesque corners...
A complete tourist guide is just a click away so that visiting the different flowering seasons is an unforgettable experience and tourists can make the most of the time they have available, not only coming during the flowering season, but also returning at other times of the year, thus de-seasonalising the destinations.
This is a pioneering initiative to promote Spain's flowering tourist destinations, especially for commerce, hospitality and tourism companies, with which users will be able to access promotions from establishments in different localities.
Another of the application's features will be the organization and reservation of agrotourism experiences, activities designed for the enjoyment of the whole family, school groups or associations that give visitors the opportunity to experience a fun and instructive day in the countryside.
Another of the most important points will be access to routes to enjoy the flowering in all its splendor: What routes exist in the municipality? How long does it take to do them? How difficult are they? Where do they start and where do they end? Thanks to this digital and very visual tool, we will be able to discover at a glance which route to take at any given time based on its characteristics.
The Mobile Application will be a tool that will generate synergies with the website of Spain in Bloom (www.floracion.es) which in just a few months has achieved significant positioning on the Internet with an average of 35,000 monthly visits.
