Workshops, a craft market with local and km0 products, gastronomic proposals or guided tours of the lavender fields will take place in July for the lavender flowering campaign.
This week, Ademuz will host a market of artisan products and thematic exhibitions.
As in previous years, the population of Ademuz is preparing dozens of activities for this coming July 2023 to mark the flowering of its lavender fields, a month in which different activities will be carried out that revolve around the most beloved aromatic plant in the entire region.
For this occasion there will be workshops, a craft market with local and km0 products, gastronomic proposals in bars and restaurants or live cooking demonstrations, the Ademuz visit programme with the 5 senses or the already famous guided tours of the lavender fields (the rest of the activities have yet to be defined, but will be announced very soon).
There will be workshops and activities for all audiences to bring the different applications of lavender closer to everyone, such as a workshop on handmade and organic soaps or a route through medicinal plants to discover those you can find in your environment, their therapeutic virtues and how to apply them. This year there will also be a craft and local products market that will be held on July 21, 22 and 23, 2023 in the Plaza de la Iglesia de Ademuz. Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to find exhibitors with local and Km 0 products on Friday 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.; Saturday 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.; and Sunday 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (the exhibitors can be seen at https://ademuzconlos5sentidos.com/mercado-artesanal/).
ATTENTION! The lavender fields cannot be visited freely, as a reservation must be made through the local company Ecoaromuz and the guided tours that are organized.
As in previous editions, the guided tours scheduled during the month of July (from the 1st to the 23rd) to the lavender fields stand out, an activity known as “Entre Campos de Lavandas”.
This is an aromatic experience, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, in which you will learn about the lavender fields and where you will do an olfactory tasting of some essential oils that are produced in the area, their main properties and their most common applications so that you know how to apply them in your daily life. A visit in which you will take a souvenir (it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, a cap or hat, sun protection and water during the visit, since the entire route takes place in open-air areas where there is no shade.
